A letter to a new friend and hello to all!
This letter to an investigator in Scotland sums up a lot of what I think about paranormal investigation.
Hello Mark,
I have been a researcher for 16 years and recently had an experience at the school where I teach. I think things need to be done scientifically. I have a site dedicated to creating a think tank type of organization where ideas can be shared and new investigative methods created. New tools need to also be invented as i really feel that paranormal research is in its infancy. No one has a real WOW video and I fear pictures are just too easy to doctor. Video is as well but the real test will be when we can create or capture phenomenon that is reproducible by another group of scientists.
This think tank can serve another purpose. If we all join together as one group we can begin to put pressure on the scientific community just as the public did here in the U. S. and around the world, to get space exploration technology moving (to get to the moon). This is a long road long shot but I must try.
I do not have any beliefs as I think beliefs are harder to change than ideas...to quote the movie DOGMA. So I have a lot of ideas and its not looking good as far as the evidence I have seen. Now what I have experienced is different but I can not present that to the world. It seems as though if there are spirits they just do not want to be captured on film, camera, or EVPs. I just have not heard an EVP that I can say is not noise being interpreted as a sentence. So many people out there fake evidence (the worst possible crime). I am open to the idea of EVPs but the way they are done needs to be looked at carefully.
So there you have it Mark. I may sound like a skeptic and you would be right. I am to a degree and that is not only healthy but necessary as long as it is not carried too far. I have an open mind and look forward to your response.
